Coffee before the roast. One full kilogram of it.

Nilgiris Green Coffee Beans 1kg are raw, unroasted 100% Arabica from Nilgiris estates at 1,000–1,500 metres — sealed and shipped without exposure to roasting heat, preserving maximum chlorogenic acid. The 1kg pack is sized for serious green-coffee drinkers (3–4 months of daily use) and home roasters (enough for 25–30 roasting batches).

Same Arabica beans as our 500g pack — simply twice the supply at a better per-gram price.

🌿 100% PURE ARABICA, UNROASTED — raw beans direct from Nilgiris estates. No Robusta. No processing beyond cleaning and drying

🔬 MAXIMUM CHLOROGENIC ACID — roasting reduces chlorogenic acid by 60–80%. Unroasted beans preserve the full level, the form used in metabolic-rate research

⛰️ NILGIRIS ARABICA AT 1,000–1,500m — the elevation band where Arabica develops its full character

📦 1KG — SIZED FOR DAILY USE OR HOME ROASTING — 3–4 months of daily green-coffee brewing, or 25–30 home roasting batches. Better per-gram value than the 500g pack

Q1: How long will 1kg of green coffee beans last?

If you are drinking green-coffee daily (one cup using ~10g of beans), 1kg lasts approximately 100 days. If you are using it for home roasting in 30–40g batches, 1kg gives you 25–30 batches. The beans stay fresh for up to 12 months in proper storage — so 1kg is well within a single use cycle.

Q2: How do I brew green coffee for weight loss?

Coarsely grind 2 tablespoons. Add to 500ml water. Bring to a gentle simmer — do not boil aggressively. Simmer 10–15 minutes. Strain and drink, plain or with a slice of lemon or teaspoon of honey. One cup 20–30 minutes before breakfast is the standard protocol used in research studies.

Q3: What does green coffee taste like?

Grassy, vegetal, slightly herbal — closer to a strong green tea than to roasted coffee. The familiar coffee flavour comes from the Maillard reaction during roasting; in raw green coffee those compounds have not formed. Most people add honey and lemon for the first few weeks until they acclimatise.

Q4: Can I roast 1kg at home?

Yes — in batches. A heavy iron pan handles 200–250g per batch comfortably. A small electric coffee roaster (under ₹5,000) handles 250–500g. Either way, plan on 5–6 separate batches to roast 1kg. The advantage of home roasting is freshness — ground roasted coffee is best within 4–6 weeks, so roasting smaller batches keeps your coffee at peak.

Q5: How should I store the 1kg pack?

Transfer to one or two airtight containers stored at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Do not refrigerate — condensation damages the beans. Stored correctly, green coffee beans hold quality for up to 12 months. Unlike roasted coffee, which deteriorates within weeks, green coffee is essentially shelf-stable.
